Cruise Lines » Island Cruises
Island Cruises, a joint venture between First Choice and Royal Caribbean International, launched in 2002. Island Cruises are the pioneers of informal cruising and it’s the sense of freedom that really stands out on an Island Cruises holiday with no set timings for dinner, no standing on ceremony and no dress code. It is up to each guest to choose how they want to enjoy themselves and relax – not having to fit into someone else’s idea of a good time.
From the Captains down, all of the friendly crew are on hand to make sure everyone feels at home the instant they step aboard. There is a world of choice with Island Cruises, with seven different Mediterranean itineraries visiting a total of 28 great ports of call, regional flying from 27 airports across the UK & Ireland, Transatlantic cruising to/from Brazil and of course our 2 ships, the Island Escape and Island Star.
New for Winter 2008/09 - Island Cruises have carried over 350,000 British guests in the Mediterranean over the last six summers and our excellent satisfaction levels have created a loyal customer base. Between December 2008 and March 2009, we will be offering customers an Island Cruises winter holiday option for the first time, cruising around the Caribbean with three choices of itinerary. This brand new Caribbean programme offers direct flights to Barbados from Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester, Gatwick and Dublin, providing port intensive cruising perfect for first-timers to the Caribbean, a bit of Latin America on a Panama Canal adventure for the more experienced and an unusually expansive itinerary that takes in diverse ports from the east and west of the Caribbean Sea.
