Nautica has the pleasure of offering our only voyages into the Black Sea. After an overnight in Istanbul, where you might venture out for authentic lamb kebabs and fresh-baked baklava, you will sail to Nessebur, a World Heritage Site first settled more than 9,000 years ago. The following week will be spent roving the vast inland sea, taking in its most extraordinary resort cities. Sample the local Romanian vintages at a wine tasting near Constanta. Wander through Odessa’s Fine Arts Museum, which holds one of the Ukraine’s largest collections of Russian and Ukrainian masterpieces. You will explore Russia itself during a day in Sochi, where you might purchase some traditional nested matryoshka dolls. Then, Nautica departs the Black Sea for Turkey and Greece via the Dardanelles.
